Jordan John gets in the groove with new single from his debut album Funk Parade
Canadian artist Jordan John made his UK debut release this weekend with funky pop single ‘Get in the Groove’ to promote his new album Funk Parade. You can hear the influence of Prince, someone he was jamming with at age 16 on the drums, so this guy has had groovy chops since he was a teenager.
Adept on drums, keyboards, guitar and bass, he has a diverse range of musical talents that have been put to use on this new funky tune, having it's first airplay on BBC Radio 6 on The Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show.
Jordan John has garnered praise from world renowned producers and artists such as Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Keith Richards and Aretha Franklin - who personally invited him to open her performance at the Toronto Jazz festival.
Performing and recording with artists internationally, including Ronnie Spector and David Foster, in addition to his work as a front-man in North America and overseas in Europe & Asia, Jordan John is launching his solo career after making a name for himself in the industry. His first album Funk Parade is now available to stream on Spotify, with 'Too High on Love', 'Own Up', and 'Lovin' u More' being some of our favourite tracks to get you groovin'.
Listen to 'Funk Parade' on Spotify and Apple Music.
